- David Darrell Riley - July 29, 1934 - February 5, 2005. Son of Elmer Darrell and Frances C. Carr Riley.
Served as Vice President of Half-shire Historical Society from 1999 to 2005 and was a long time caretaker of the Half-shire building.
Newspaper Obituary - Sunday, February 6, 2005 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - David D. Riley State DOT Employee - David Darrell Riley, 70, County Route 48, died Saturday at St Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse. Mr. Riley was employed by the state Department of Transportation, Syracuse, for 17 years. He resided in Syracuse until moving to Richland in 1974. He was a member of Half-Shire Historical Society. Born July 29, 1934, in the town of Richland, son of Elmer D. and Frances C. Can Riley, he graduated from Sandy Creek High School in 1952 and served in the Army from 1953 to 1955. Surviving besides his mother of Richland are a brother, Keith Riley, Syracuse, and a sister, Sharon Riley, Deansboro. The funeral will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Donations may be made to Half-Shire Historical Society, Richland, New York 13144.
