- L.F. REMINGTON DIES IN FLORIDA

Lawrence F. Remington, 76, of 8383 Tifft St., died Monday at his winter home, 1611 Timber Ridge Circle, Leesburg, Fla.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek, with the Rev. Virgil H. Hager, pastor of the Sandy Creek First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sandy Creek.
There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made to Oswego County Hospice in care of H. Douglas Barclay Courthouse, Pulaski, N.Y. 13142, or to Northern Oswego County Ambulance, Box 113, Pulaski, N.Y. 13142.
Surviving are his wife, Leita; a daughter, Mrs. Eugene (Linda) Murray, Lacona; a grandson, a granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.
A brother, Leo, and two sisters, Lucille O'Connor and Leola Noble, died before him.
Born Jan. 24, 1915 in Lacona, son of Virgil and Leona Hedger Remington, he graduated from Sandy Creek High School in 1933 and graduated from the Syracuse Barber School. Mr. Remington was a barber for over 50 years, and operated Remington's Barber Shop in Lacona until his 1985 retirement.
He married Leita Bell April 10, 1937 in Lacona with the Rev. Luther M. Ridgeway officiating.
Mr. Remington was a life resident of Lacona.
He was a retired member of the Sandy Creek and Lacona fire departments, a member of the Sandy Creek Fish and Game Club, and a trustee for the village of Lacona for 20 years until retiring in 1985.
