Newspaper Obituary - Thursday February 6, 1997 The Post-Standard - Syracuse, New York - Mabel A. Weisenburger, 87, of Deerfield Apartments died Wednesday at Loretto Heights Nursing Home, Oswego. She was born in Redfield and lived most of her life in the Pulaski and Lacona area. She worked at Empsall's Department Store, Watertown, for several years. She was a member of St. John's the Evangelist Church and its Altar and Rosary Society. Her husband, Alfred F., died 1966. Surviving are three sons, Lawrence E. of Mexico, James L. of Pine Bluff, North Carolina, and David F. of Rome; a daughter, Darcy Stevens of Pulaski; three sisters, Mary Delong of Pulaski, Catherine Spencer of Central Square and Erma Webber of Watertown; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday in St. John's Evangelist Church, the Rev. John Hogan officiating. Spring burial is in South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood. Calling hours are 2 to 6 p.m. Friday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park St. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Central New York.

Mabel A. Weisenburger, 87, Deerfield Apartments, died Wednesday at Loretto Heights Nursing Home, Oswego.
Mrs. Weisenburger worked at Empsall's Department Store, Watertown, for several years.
Born May 22, 1909, in Redfield, daughter of Wilbur and Catherine Gorman Fox, she lived most of her life in the Pulaski and Lacona areas. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church and its Altar and Rosary Society.
She married Alfred F. Weisenburger on Sept. 24, 1927. Mr. Weisenburger died April 20, 1966.
Surviving are three sons, Lawrence E., Mexico, James L., Pine Bluff, N.C., and David F., Rome; a daughter, Darcy Stevens, Pulaski; three sisters, Mary Delong, Pulaski, Catherine Spencer, Central Square, and Erma Weber, Watertown; 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren,and many nieces and nephews.
