Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, March 17, 1909 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Fernwood - On Monday, March 15, at 2:30 p.m. occurred the death of Mrs. Ella Edick Perry, wife of Mr_ George R Perry, aged 55 years. Quietly and sweetly to her came the summons, "Child thy Father calls thee come home." So quiet was the call that loved ones who were watching by her to catch the love light from her eyes did not hear, only saw the change and heard her say, "Yes, I want to go to heaven." There was no fear of the sullen waves which swept close to her weary feet, but a look and trust that all is well with my soul, for over the river waited the Master whose loving face took away all fear. Mrs. Perry has been so ill that her mind was not hers to control, but under skillful management all she asked was home, loved ones and perfect rest. Gradually for the past two months her strength has been giving away, yet her dear ones were her all. Mrs. Perry grew from infancy and up to this time has lived among us. She has a large circle of friends who are truly grieved at her death. Funeral services were held from her late home on the 17th, Rev. Wilcox officiating. The services were under the direction of Enos & Morton. Inteiment in Willis cemetery. Friends from Pulaski, Sandy Creek, Watertown and Marathon were present. Mrs. Perry leaves to mourn her loss a faithful husband, two daughters, Mrs. Fred Harvey and Miss Grace Perry. All have been devoted and untiring in their efforts to make her happy and to relieve all her sufferings. Tenderly and lovingly without limit they have given all time and attention. Mr. George Edick, of Pulaski, Mr. J. Edick, of Douglas District, and Mrs. Esther Nicholson were brothers and sister of the deceased. A large audience gathered on Wednesday to pay their last tribute of respect to her whom they had known as friend and neighbor so long.
