    • Obituary:
Harrison Milford Taber died at his home in this village Wednesday afternoon, following a short illness. Typhoid fever was the cause of his death, but until a few hours before he died the serious nature of his trouble was not realized. He had always been unusually well and his sudden illness and death came as a great shock to his family and friends. Mr. Taber was born at Perryville, March 23, 1860. In 1881 Mr. Taber married Miss Cora Teller, who survives him. Mr. and Mrs. Taber lived for a time at Perryville, later at Whitelaw and thirteen years ago came to Chittenango where they have since made their home. Mr. Taber was a man of honest, upright character, well liked by all who knew him and a thoroughly reliable and dependable citizen. He was a carpenter by trade and did an extensive building and contracting business. He servered several terms as village chief of police and was also as town constable, holding that office at the time of his death. Besides his wife, Mr. Taber is survived by two daughters, Miss Flossie Taber and Mrs. Walter Sickles, both of this village, and also by a brother, Charles Taber, living in the West. Funeral services for Mr. Taber were held at St. Paul's church at two o'clock Saturday afternoon, preceded by prayer service at the home. Rev. J.C. Munson officiated and burial was made in Oakwood.
