      Raymond Taber Fatally Injured In Fall on Stairs
      Raymond M. Taber, 52, of 5 Lawton Ave., Auburn, died accidentally at 1:38 a.m. Monday in his home after a fall down a flight of stairs from the second floor.

      Cayuga County Coroner, Dr. Norman Woodford, pronounced Mr. Taber dead of a broken neck at the scene. Auburn police reported that Mr. Taber was found at the foot of the stairs by Frank Graham, another resident.

      A native of Cato, Mr. Taber had resided in Auburn for 25 years. He had been employed by the Columbian Rope Co. since 1952 as an extruder operator.

      He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Loyal Order of Moose and Textile Works Union of America.

      Surviving are six sisters; Mrs. Elmer Titus of Tuscon, Ariz., Mrs. Elmer Clark of Fleming, Mrs. Francis Chilson and Mrs. Leonard Gasparro of Auburn, Mrs. Anadello Cecchine of Throop and Mrs. Alson Ryan of Mt. Clair, Calif.; four brothers, Howard K., Clophus and Daniel E. Taber of Auburn and Harrison H. Taber of Syracuse, and several nieces and nephews.

      Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Langham Funeral Home. Burial was in Pine Hill Cemetery, Throop.
