Ida F. Miller, 70, Hadley Road, died Friday at the home of a daughter, Connie Skufca, Lacona, where Mrs. Miller was under the care of Oswego County Hospice.
Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and a member of Cable Trail Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8534 Auxiliary, Lacona.
Born Feb. 5, 1927, at Orwell, a daughter of Artimus and Emily Ord Doane, she graduated from Sandy Creek High School in 1942.
She married Floyd W. Miller on Jan. 8, 1946, at Lacona. The couple lived all their married life in the town of Sandy Creek. Mr. Miller died Dec. 16, 1987.
Surviving besides her daughter Connie are another daughter, Beverly Stowell, Lacona; six sons, Larry, Belleville, Bill, Pulaski, and Hugh, Rick, Cullen and Wendell, all of Sandy Creek; two sisters, Mary Benjamin, Sodus, and Edith Burgy, Westdale; two brothers, John Doane, Oneida, and Artimus "Hap" Doane, Camden; 24 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
An infant daughter, Jennie, died.
A private funeral will be Monday with the Rev. Roger Bell, pastor of Sandy Creek United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Summerville Funeral Home.
