- Melvin Fosdick, 54, of RD 2 Mexico Road. Camden, died Thursday morning in Rome Hospital. Mr. Fosdick was born Aug. 23, 1918 in Ft. Ripley, Minn., a son of Samuel and Dena Tatero Fosdick. A truck driver for the Mohawk Valley Wholesale Co.. Camden, he was a veteran of World War II and senior vice commander of the Lt. Victor Giles Post. Veterans of Foreign Wars. Besides his wife. Mrs. Irene Alger Fosdick, he leaves two sons. Gary, Liverpool; Melvin Dean, Camden: one stepson. Richard Lovenguth. Bridgeport: a daughter, Lynne. Camden; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Gail Audas; three brothers, Daniel and Harry, Camden; Donald Oswego; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Smith. Williamstown; Mrs. Lydia Tanner, Phoenix, Ariz.; and four grandsons. Services will be held 4 p.m. Saturday at the Harter Funeral Home, Parish with burial in West Amboy Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home Friday are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
