Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, September 27, 1905 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Allie Potter - After a long battle with that dreaded disease, consumption, Allie, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Potter, died at Old Forge, September 20, where the family are living temporarily. He was born in the village of Orwell twenty-three years ago. A few years ago he removed to Utica with his parents where he worked until his health failed and he has since been seeking to recover his health but with no avail. Allie was a young man much loved by his family and friends. He was a clean Christian boy and his life was full of promise of usefulness. The remains were brought to Orwell and rested at the home of Mrs. Roxanna Beadle until Saturday when the funeral was held at the church, at two o'clock. It was Allie's twenty-third birthday. Rev. T. T. Davies officiated at the church and Rev. George Bentley, of new Hartford, officiated at the grave. Both clergymen performed the sad rites with an impressiveness that was felt and participated in by the great circle of friends present. The beautiful floral tributes told of the sweet remembrance of Allie's friends and he was laid to peaceful rest in Evergreen Cemetery. The bearers were his two brothers, Carl and Earl Potter, and two cousins, the Messrs. Pennock.
