Notes - Loren J. Hawley was from Ellisburg in Jefferson County, New York (Parents buried in Mannsville) . At the age of 14 he went to work on a stage line from Watertown to Sacket's Harbor. He later moved to Pulaski where he has stagecoach concession. When railroads came through he went into the sash and blind business with T. Ingersoll of Pulaski. He later had a grist mill.
Hawley was elected a village trustee for Pulaski, and also served as highway commissioner for the town for many years. They had no children. they lived on Church St., in Pulaski
