Newspaper Obituary - Thursday Evening, May 21, 1903 Oswego Daily Times - Oswego, New York - Theodore Spencer Passes Away - Pulaski, May 21 - Theodore Spencer, aged about 73 years, one of the most esteemed and highly respected residents of the town of Richland, passed away at his home at Port Ontario at an early hour yesterday morning after an illness of several months. Besides his widow he is survived by several children. Mr. Spencer was elected Town Constable in 1861, and with the exception of three years, has served continuously in that capacity for thirty-nine years. He was a member of Pulaski Lodge, No. 415, F. & A. M. For many years he carried mail between Port Ontario and Pulaski, conducting a stage route. He was a man of sterling integrity and had many friends throughout this section. The funeral will be held at the family residence at two o'clock to-morrow afternoon and will be conducted by Pulaski Lodge, F. & A. M.

At the age of 17 he moved with his parents to Port Ontario where he resided until his death on May 20, 1903 at his home. He leaves a widow and two daughters, Mrs. Frank Manwarren of Texas and Mrs. Wilber Rink of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to mourn his loss.
Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, May 27, 1903 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Theodore Spencer - After a lingering illness. Theodore Spencer, of Port Ontario, died at his home, Wednesday. Mr. Spencer was born in 1829 and had been one of the best-known and highly respected citizens of the town of Richland many years. He was, for many years, the mail carrier between this village and Port Ontario and outlived the post office of that place by about one year. About thirty years he drove the stage and carried the mail, which meant that he had to encounter many very hard storms. He was constable of this town for nearly forty years, and held that office at the time of his death. He was a member of Pulaski Lodge, F. & A. M. which organization accorded him Masonic honors at his funeral. A large number of members of the Lodge were present to drop the evergreen upon his bier and say farewell to an esteemed brother. The funeral was held from the home at two o'clock, Friday, burial at Sand Hill. Rev. J. B. Felt, of Pulaski officiated at the funeral. Mr. Spencer is survived by a widow and three children.
Newspaper Article - Thursday, July 23, 1913 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Manwarren District - Mrs. Kate B. Spencer of Port Ontario has had a fine new monument erected in the Daysville cemetery to the memory of her husband, Theodore Spencer. Work was done by R. C. Pirnie of Pulaski.
