- May 13, 1902 ~ Eunice S. Meacham, age 85 years, 8 months, 24 days, Widow, born in New York, resided in Richland Township 53 years, Daughter of Alva Fobes born in New York, and Merriam Hicks born in New York, Died in Pulaski of old age, passive congestion of lungs from feeble heart.
Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, May 14, 1902 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Memorial - Mrs. Eunice S. Meacham died at her home in North street, in this village, Tuesday, May 13, at the age of 86 years, after an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Meacham was the daughter of Alva and Marion Fobes, of Henderson, Jefferson County, and the wife of the late Daniel B. Meacham, of this village, where she has lived for upwards of fifty-three years. Four children survive her, being D. B. Meacham, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Frances M. Lyman, of Hastings, Nebraska, T. S. Meacham and Miss Mary E. Meacham, of Pulaski. Mrs. Meacham was a kind, brave woman of genial disposition and much beloved by her many friends. She was a member of the Congregational church. The funeral will be held from the home in North street, Thursday, May 15th, at 2 p.m.
Newspaper Article - Wednesday, May 21, 1902 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Local Notes - The funeral of Mrs. Eunice S. Meacham was largely attended, Wednesday afternoon, and the service was conducted by her pastor, Rev. J. B. Felt. Miss L. Grace Henderson sang "One Sweetly Solemn Thought" as a contralto solo. The words of the minister were well chosen and his tribute to the memory of Mrs. Meacham was founded on a well-rounded life and a life full of usefulness and good deeds. An abundance of beautiful floral tributes were in evidence. Friends from out of town attending the funeral were: Mrs. A. L. Bloomer, Brooklyn; Dr. and Mrs. John N. Lyman, Hastings, Nebraska; D. B. and Standish Meacham, Cincinnati, Ohio; Silas B. Lyman, Albany.
