- Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, April 19, 1905 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Chauncey W. Street died in Yorkville, New York, Tuesday, April 18, at the age of 87 years. For many years Mr. Street was a resident of this village being in the business of contractor and builder, at one time being connected with the firm of Seamans & Mickel. Before coming to this village Mr. Street resided in Williamstown. He was a man of quiet, kindly manners. His first wife died nearly twenty years ago, after which he married Mrs. Ruth Harmon, of this village, who survives him. Besides the widow he is survived by two children by the first wife, Mrs. Martha Thorp and George Street. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock from the Congregational church, of which the deceased was a member, Rev. J. B. Felt officiating.
Buried in Pulaski Cemetery in the old north section, 3/4 of the way back near drive. The parents given for Chauncey have not been proven yet (3-1-2009) but seem compelling. Based on Obit from Pulaski Democrat, and it is noted Martha's father was in Revolutionary War.
On July 8, 1896 this note appears in Pulaski Democrat that seems to lead that Chauncey remarried:
"Mr. and Mr. Bliss, of Tennessee are visiting their sister, Mrrs. Chauncey Street"
