- Newspaper Obituary - March 31, 1949 Pulaski Democrat - Ora W. Harmon, 79, Dies Here - Ora W. Harmon, 79, died at his home in Delano street, Sunday afternoon, following an illnessof three weeks. He had been in failing health for the past two years but had been able to go down street every day until recently. Funeral services were held from the family home, Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ray Williams, pastor of the Church of Christ, Richland, officiating. Burial was made in the Pulaski cemetery. Bearers were Harmon, Gordon, and Robert Littler, Sherwood Jackson, Robert Balcom and Lewis Dewey. Surviving besides his wife, Mrs. Addie Harmon, are one daughter, Bessie Littler, Pulaski and one son, Albert Harmon of Philidelphia Pa.' two granddaughters, Mrs. S. C. Jackson, Boonville, and Miss Elizabeth Littler, Pulaski; five grandsons, Harmon and Gordon Littler, Pulaski, Robert Littler, of Oneida; Jack Littler of Syracuse and Gerald Littler of Birmingham, Alabama; and two great grandchildren. Mr. Harmon was born in West Rupert, Vt., May 6, 1869, the son of Augustus and Mary Hay Harmon. He was maried to Miss Addie Orton, Jan. 3, 1895, in Richland. He had spent most of his life in the vicinity of Richland and Pulaski as a farmer until his retirement 26 years ago when he moved into the village at the present home. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Richland.
