Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, March 24, 1976 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mrs. Mitchell of Richland Succumbs - Mrs. Lelia M. Mitchell, 71, of R.D. 3, Richland died on Monday, March 15 at the House of the Good Samaritan Hospital, Watertown where she had been a patient for three days. She was born on June 12, 1904 at Syracuse, the daughter of Charles and Fannie Irons Martineau. She attended Richland schools and was married on February 25, 1950 to Kenneth Mitchell. The couple resided in Richland where Mrs. Mitchell was a waitress for the New York Central Railroad and was also employed at the Oswego County Sanitarium at Orwell. She was a member of the Richland Church of Christ. Surviving besides her husband are two sisters, Mrs. George (Ruth) Hawks, of Liverpool and Mrs. Marjorie Anson of Florida, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. One son, Rex S. Greene died in 1954. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 17 at 1 p.m. at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski with the Rev. Ray R. Williams officiating. Funeral services will be held in Richland Cemetery.
