    • Rose Blount, age 92, of Bartow, FL and formerly of Sandy Creek passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Tampa General Hospital of Tampa, FL. Rose was born January 19, 1925 in Boston, MA. She is the daughter of the late David L and the late Jenny Maude (Bryant) Stewart. She married Lynn V Blount on November 11, 1944 at Sandy Creek, NY.

      She owned and operated Colonial Court Campground for many years and also was bookkeeper for her husband’s service station. Rose was a member of Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary and was both a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader. She loved music and was active in her church choir.

      She is survived by one daughter: Rebecca Pischke of Bartow, FL and two sons: David L (Beverly) Blount of Winterhaven, FL and Steven (Lena) Blount of Lakeland, FL,; 5 grandchildren ;8 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband Lynn, Brother David Stewart and sister Ella Elizabeth Scott.

      The funeral will be held 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 29 at Summerville Funeral Home, Inc, 1997 Harwood Drive, Sandy Creek, NY with Rev. Daniel Bradley of Sandy Creek United Methodist Church officiating. Calling Hours will be from 12-2pm preceding the funeral. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sandy Creek
