Esther G. Frey Leach, 79, of Buckley Landing, North Syracuse, died Monday. Born in Edwards, she lived in Central Square 48 years before moving to North Syracuse in 2000. She retired in 1970 after 27 years as a waitress at Martin's Chicken-On-The-Rough Restaurant in Cicero. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Constantia. Her first husband, Mortimer Axenfeld, died in 1983; her second husband, Albert Leach, died in 1987.
Survivors: Six daughters, Sandra Amodei and Teresa Douglas, both of Liverpool; Pamela Reichard of Mexico, Moureen David of Tacoma, Wash.; Bridget DeSero of Syracuse and Elaine Sartwell of Baldwinsville; three sons, George Douglas of Baldwinsville, Maurice Douglas of Central Square and Kevin Douglas of West Monroe; a sister, Mildred Davidson of North Syracuse; 23 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Watson Funeral Home. Burial, Pulaski Cemetery.
