sister, Mrs. Julia A. Gaffney,
138 Haley street, seriously ill
at Madonna home, who is the
widow of Michael Gaffney, a
brother of William E. Gaffiney
12 grandchildren and
If [eight great-grandchildren.
Two children have died. A
son, Paul L., died Feb. 19,
1958, at the age of 52, while
he was business manager of
Niagara Mohawk Power corporation
in the Utica district.
A daughter, K. Rosemary,
died March 21, 1963, at the
age of 46.
Mrs. Gaffney was born
April 23, 1874, in Kemptville,
Ont., a daughter of John and
Catherine Loftus O'Connor.
When she was a young girl,
the family came to Ogdensburg,
where she was educated.
Later, she was a dressmaker.
Shortly after she
came to Watertown, she was
married on Sept. 16, 1901, to
William Gaffney in the
Church of Our Lady of the
Sacred Heart.
