      Newspaper Obituary - Saturday, January 27, 1968 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Mrs. Lena Haggerty Dies at 94 - Warsaw ¬Mrs. Lena E. Haggerty, 94, of 52 Brooklyn street, widow of Will K. Haggerty, a former resident of Williamstown, died Friday in East Side Nursing home following a long illness. A prayer service will be held at the family home Sunday at 8 p.m. followed by a funeral Monday at 2 p.m. in Williamstown Federated church. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery, Pulaski. Friends may call at the family home. Surviving are: Two daughters, Mrs. Harry H. (Barbara) Weeks and Mrs. Harvey S. (Gladys) Edmonds, both of Warsaw; an adopted son, Frederick S. Cooper, Rochester, two grandchildren, Mrs. Franklyn Powell and Stuart D. Edmonds, both of North Syracuse, and four great grandchildren. Born December 18, 1873, in Richland, she was married to Will K. Haggerty, a mail carrier, who died in 1947. Her early life was spent in Williamstown and for years she taught at Lehigh school, Pulaski. She bad lived in Warsaw since 1946. She was a 68-year member and past matron of Williamstown chapter, 199, O.E.S., a member of the Williamstown grange, and past president of the Williamstown Methodist church ladies aid society.
