    • Mr. Rex Maitland, 82, of the Spring Brook Apartments, Pulaski, died Thursday, Nov. 24 in the House of the Good Samaritan Hospital.

      Born in Henderson, he lived most of his life in Richland, where he owned and operated a dairy farm. He later worked for the New York Central Railroad for 24 years until retiring in 1966.

      He was a member of the Richland Fire Department and had been an assistant chief. His wife, Ethel M. Archibe, died in 1964.

      Surviving are two sons, Robert of Pulaski and John of Orwell; a stepson, Harry Williams of Pulaski; four daughters, Mrs. Betty Fischer of Syracuse, Mrs. Beverly Sanderson of Richland, Mrs. Patricia Gibbs of Watertown and Mrs. Marilyn Sanderson of Pulaski; a sister, Mrs. Sue Parsons of Odessa; and a brother, Ralph of Richland; three grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
