Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, July 27, 1967 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - C. Martineau, Richland Dies - Charles F. Martineau, 69, of Richland, died Sunday, July 23 in Veterans Hospital, Syracuse, where he had been a patient for 13 days. Born February 18, 1898 in Syracuse, he was the son of Charles and Fannie Irons Martineau. He came to Richland as a small child and attended school there. He attended Pulaski High School for three years. Mr. Martineau was employed at one time by William P. Curtiss and Sons and by the New York Central Railroad as a maintenance man. He retired in 1956. He served briefly in the Army from June, 1942 until February, 1943. He is survived by four sisters, Mrs. George (Ruth) Hawks of Liverpool. Mrs. Lyle (Ethel) Stevens, Vernon; Mrs. Kenneth (Lelia) Mitchell, Richland; and Mrs. Arlo (Marjorie) Anson of Okeechobee, Florida. He is also survived by two brothers, Edwin of Richland and Keith of Morrisville, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 25 at the Foster Funeral Home, the Rev. Gene Kearns, pastor of the Church of Christ, Richland, officiating. Burial was in Richland Cemetery.
