June 3, 2005 Shirley Pauline Wilson, 86, of Roanoke, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 3, 2005. She was born on July 14, 1918 in Oswego, NY and spent the greater part of her life raising her four children in Pulaski, NY. She moved to Roanoke to be near her daughters and worked for the Marriott Hotel as a dining room manager. After retirement, she worked part time at the Orange Dog in Towers Mall. Her love for her family and her animals gave her great joy throughout her life. Her surviving family includes her husband, Fred Wilson of Pulaski, NY; son, Paul Wilson and wife, Sandra, of Pulaski, NY; daughters, Diane Ball and husband, Neal, of Salem, VA, Joene Burroughs and husband, Fred, of Blacksburg, VA, and Tanya Mitchell and husband, Ralph, of Salem, VA; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Alta Foster; two nieces; and a dear friend, Rita Burroughs. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Pulaski Cemetery. Condolences can be e-mailed to jo1@aldephia.net.
