- December 27, 2007 Dorwin "Si" H. Hilton, 82, of Emerick Rd., Cato, NY, died December 27, 2007, at home, with his family by his side. Dorwin was born May 19, 1925, in Williamstown, NY, the son of the late Paul and Addie Sanderson Hilton. He was a resident of Cato since the early '60s. He was owner and operator of DorBet Farm, along with his wife, Betty, for many years. He was an avid hunter of elk, moose, deer, antelope and turkey. Si spent most of his time outdoors working in the woods, after he retired from the farm. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jewell Hilton of Cato; son Gerald A. Hilton of Cato; daughters Jean Hilton of Solvay, Gayle (Ricky) Sheffield of Oswego and Janet Hilton of Cato; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother Lester Hilton of Oswego; and sister Iva (Bruce) Goodfellow of Florida. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, James D. Hilton, in 2004; a sister, Pauline Cummins; and two brothers, Edwin and Robert Hilton. Family and friends may call 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2007, at Jewell Funeral Homes, Inc., 13164 South St., Cato. Funeral services will immediately follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Brian Goodfellow, pastor of Believers' Chapel Fulton, officiating. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central New York, 990 Seventh North St., Liverpool, NY 13088-6148.
