Hamblin Rites Held at Altmar
Last rites for Mrs. Harriet B. Hamblin, 77, widow of George Hambin, who died Friday at the home of her son, Dayton Hamblin in Schenectady, were held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Brown funeral home in Altmar. The Rev. Harley S. Hill, pastor of the Altmar Methodist church officiated, with interment in Riverside cemetery at Altmar. She had been in ill health the past three months and had been staying with her son.
Surviving besides the son in Schenectady are another son, Cyrus Hamblin of Lowville; a brother, Frank Austin of Southampton, L.I.; two sisters, Mrs. Flora Millard, Watertown, and Mrs. Avis Griffin, of Corning; and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Hamblin was born in Altmar, June 15, 1877, daughter of
Cyras and Ida Campbell Austin. She was a member of the Altmar Methodist church and of the W.S.C.S. of the church. She had spent her entire life in Altmar.
