      Emma E. Christensen, age 78, resident of Pulaski, passed away Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse. She resided in Pulaski for many years with her son Harald, and she previously lived in Utica for 18 years. Emma was born December 21, 1931 in Little Falls, NY, the daughter of Joseph and Anna Noonan Gressler. She graduated from Pulaski High School in 1949. She also received her bachelor's degree from Le Moyne College and her master's degree from Hunter College in New York City. Emma married Robert Christensen in 1950, he died in 1957. She was employed by the Social Security Administration for over 30 years, retiring in 1989. Surviving: four sons, Andrew (Linda Sue) Christensen of Virginia Beach, VI, David K. (Nancy) Christensen of Deerfield, NY, Harald C. and his companion, Anne Stone of New Bern, NC, and Joseph R. (Terry) Christensen of Basalt, CO; one sister, Joan Mazzolli of Oswego; four grandchildren and one great-grandson. Graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Pulaski Cemetery. Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
