Paula J. Vrooman, age 71, life resident of Pulaski passed away on Wednesday, May 10th, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Paula was born January 16, 1952, in Pulaski, the daughter of William and Betty Wadsworth Davis. She graduated from Pulaski High School in 1970. Paula was married to her husband of 51-years, Ronald Vrooman on March 31, 1972. She was employed as a telephone operator at the phone company in Pulaski for 18 years. Paula would eventually go on to complete a bachelor’s degree at SUNY Oswego. She was later employed by Liberty Resources, as well as Upstate Hospital, in Syracuse. Paula enjoyed spending winters at her second home in Hudson, FL. She loved to travel the world and spend time with her family and friends. Paula had a devout faith in Jesus Christ and was an active member of Pulaski Wesleyan Church, and attended New Hope Wesleyan Church in Hudson, FL.
Surviving are her husband, Ronald, three children, Jeremy M. (Beckie) Vrooman of Ladonia, TX, Jessica L. (Timothy) Vrooman-Vaverchak of Boston, MA, and Joshua W. (Kara) Vrooman of Pulaski, grandchildren, Madeleine, Ezekial, Oren, Elliot and Emmett, sister, Irene Davis-Rindos and her two daughters, Terri and Susan, along with many more nieces and nephews. Paula was preceded in death by her parents, William and Betty, and her first-born infant Kimberly R. Vrooman.
A memorial service will be held 12 p.m., Saturday, May 20th at the Pulaski Wesleyan Church, 4591 US Route 11, Pulaski, with burial in Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the church prior to the service. Arrangements by Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski.
