Carol Kleinschimdt, age 80, of Concord, Massachusetts, passed away on October 19, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

Carol was the daughter of Kathleen and Burkett Curtiss. She was born on March 21, 1936 in Richland, NY. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Syracuse University and a Master of Education from Columbia University. She taught elementary school in Chicago and Scotland before moving to Winchester, Massachusetts where she lovingly taught piano lessons for over 30 years. Carol was the President of the New England Piano Teachers Association, and a judge and trainer of judges for the National Guild of Piano Teachers. Upon retirement, Carol traveled frequently, especially to Central America, where she generously supported developing educational and health care institutions. Carol also had a playful side; she loved dancing, swinging on swing sets, and climbing trees.

Carol leaves behind her husband, Klaus Kleinschmidt, her three sons, Andrew, Eric, and Michael Fieleke, six grandchildren, and two brothers.
