      Edward H. Bateman IV, four-year-old son of Edward and Sharlee Bateman of RD3, Central Square, died Monday as a result of an accidental drowning at his home.
      Edward was born in Syracuse and lived in Central Square 2 1/2 years.

      Surviving besides his parents are two sisters, Shelly and Jenifer; a brother, Timothy; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bateman Jr. of Mexico, N.Y.; and his paternal great-grandmothers, Annabel Jacobs of Pulaski and Bella Turgeon of Watertown.

      Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners Chapel, the Rev. James Bruinsma officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.
