    • Kate J. Mahaffy Sharp - August 20, 1852 - June 23, 1935. Daughter of Samuel and Esther Mahaffy. Wife of William Hart Sharp.

Newspaper Obituary - Monday, June 24, 1935 Oswego Palladium-Times - Oswego, New York - Pulaski, June 24 - The friends of Mrs. Kate J. Sharp regret to learn of her death Sunday at her home on the Rome road. While she had been an invalid for the past five years, she had been critically ill only the past five days. She was born in Pulaski August 20, 1852, and was the daughter of Samuel and Esther Mahaffy, early settlers in Pulaski. She had spent her entire life in Pulaski and was well known in church and social circles. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and for many years sang in the choir and was active in all of the church organizations. She was also a member of the Pulaski Grange for many years and while her health permitted was active in its work. Her husband, William H. Sharp, died December 18, 1918. She is survived by one son, William T. Sharp; a daughter, Mrs. Jennie M. Dinse, and a granddaughter, Jeannette Dinse, both of Ontario, and one brother, David C. Mahaffy, one of Pulaski's oldest active business men. The funeral will be held privately at the home at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon and burial will be in Riverside cemetery with the Rev. Henry Bridge conducting the services. Friends may call at any time.
