- MRS. HUFFSTATER PASSES AWAY At FARM HOME
Mrs. Lafayette Huffstater, 79, died at her home in the White district, about four miles north of Pulaski on the North road, early Sunday morning. She had been a resident of that community the past 62 years.
Mrs. Huffstater was born in Lacona, June 8, 1858, a daughter of the late Perry and Alvira Gurley Bartlett. She and Mr. Huffstater observed their 61st wedding anniversary recently. She was prominent in grange work in her younger years, being a member of Sandy Creek grange.
Surviving are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Milton Hitchcock of this village, and Mrs. James Austin of Kingston, also several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at the home this morning at 11 o'clock, with Rev. T.T. Davies of Sandy Creek, officiating. Burial in Sandy Creek cemetery
