      Helen McChesney Lawrence, 92, of Hendersonville, N.C., died Monday of congestive heart failure. Born in Pulaski, she lived in Syracuse for 30 years, moving to Port St. Lucie, Fla., in 1972. She graduated from Pulaski Academy and Keuka College. She was a homemaker and a member of Pulaski Baptist Church and Eastwood Baptist Church.

      Survivors: Her husband of 66 years, Howard S.; four daughters, Barbara Chester of Hendersonville, Patricia Myrto of Horse Shoe, N.C., Margaret Miller of Warners and Linda Yonteff of Winchester, Va.; a sister, Bertha Swart of Veazie, Maine; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. Burial: Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours were in Hendersonville. Jackson Funeral Home, Hendersonville, has arrangements. Contributions: Four Seasons Hospice, Box 2395, Hendersonville NC 28793.
