John A. Phillips, 77, Route 11 South, died Monday at his home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Surviving are his wife, Ione; two sons, Larry A. and Ronald B., both of Pulaski; a brother, Milton, Parish; a sister, Esther Thomasch, Cleveland; four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Born March 30, 1916, in the town of Whitesboro, a son of Elmer and Hattie Gifford Phillips, he served in the Army from 1941 to 1945, seeing duty in the Pacific theater of operations.
He married Ione Spicer on Dec. 8, 1948, and was employed by Dairylea Cooperative Inc., Syracuse, for 35 years, retiring in 1980.
He was a sexton at South Richland Cemetery for the past 20 years and a former member of the Pulaski Fraternal Bowling League.
