- ALEXANDER BROWN OBITUARY
August 25, 2009 Alexander M. Brown, age 75, resident of Lacona, died Tuesday at his home. He resided in Lacona since 1982, previously living in Altmar. Alexander was born December 5, 1933 in Pulaski, the son of David G. and Hazel Hilton Brown. He graduated from Pulaski High School in 1953. Alexander married Patricia Brosnan on June 12, 1954. He served in the United States Army from 1956 until 1958. He owned and operated Altmar Fuel Service for several years. He also ran the Sugar Shack Maple Syrup operation. Surviving: wife, Patricia E.; one son, Timothy Brown of Florida; four daughters, Alexis (Brian) Vonderohe of Las Vegas, NV, Ona Bacon of Kenai, AK, Peggy (Robert) Bolton of Rapid City, SD, and Heidi (Rick) Metott of Sandy Creek; one brother, Rodney Brown of Pulaski; two sisters, Sarah Marriott of Cameron, NC, and Thelma Smid of Missouri; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Pulaski Wesleyan Church. Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski.
