      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, October 9, 1941 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Joseph M'Laughlin Dies at Son's Home - Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at Fernwood Methodist Church for Joseph F. McLaughlin, who died Sunday at the home of his son, George McLaughlin, in the Douglas District, following a year's illness. Rev. Ellis Richards, pastor officiated and burial was in Richland Cemetery. Mr. McLaughlin was born January 4, 1877, in Oswego Town, the son of William and Catherine Kinnan McLaughlin. He had lived in Pulaski until the time of the death of his wife, Carrie Wood McLaughlin, in 1937, and since has lived with his son. He was a carpenter and cabinet maker by trade. He was a member of the Ringgold Fire Company, Pulaski Odd Fellows and the Methodist Church. Surviving besides his son are a daughter, Mrs. Lee Thomas, Pulaski; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Phillips and Mrs. Charles Swan, Oswego, a brother, Jesse McLaughlin, Oswego Center; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
