The funeral for Thomas M. Butler Jr., 22, of 7463 Box St., will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Park United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.
Mr. Butler was operating a motorcycle Saturday afternoon on Route 3 in the town of Sandy Creek as part of a "Poker Run" with members of the Iron Block Northern New York Harley Owners Association when he entered the opposite lane and collided head-on with a car, according to state police. He sustained internal injuries and died en route to the State University of New York Health Science Center at Syracuse.
Calling hours were scheduled for 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to the Pulaski Ringgold Fire Department Building Fund or to Northern Oswego County Ambulance.
Surviving are his wife, Kelly M.; his parents, Thomas M. and Beverly C. Hubbard Butler, Pulaski; a sister, Jody M., Pulaski; his paternal grandparents, Max and Margaret Butler, Pulaski; his maternal grandparents, Stanley and Madeline Hubbard, Pulaski; his paternal great-grandmother, Pauline Manwaring, Pulaski; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Born April 12, 1970, in Limestone, Maine, he graduated from Pulaski Academy and Central School and from the Technical Carrier Center. He married Kelly M. Sanderson Sept. 26, 1990.
Mr. Butler was employed by Burns and Roe Inc. He was a communicant of Park United Methodist Church and a member of Ducks Unlimited, the Iron Block Northern New York Harley Owners Association and the National Rifle Association.
