MARY ANN MCKINLEY, RETIRED TEACHER, DIES

Mary Ann McKinley, 85, formerly of Spring Brook Apartments, died this morning at the Pontiac Nursing Home, Oswego.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry, pastor of Park United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Dugway.
A calling hour will be held one hour before the funeral Saturday at the funeral home.
Surviving is a sister, Adaline M. Moriarty, Pulaski.
Born Feb. 1, 1908, in the town of Richland, a daughter of Peter and Lizzie Waugh McKinley, she graduated from Pulaski Academy High School, Pulaski Teachers’ Training Class and Oswego State Teachers College.
Miss McKinley taught remedial reading in Central Square Schools for 40 years, retiring in 1970. She also taught in New Haven and Orwell country schools for many years.
She had lived in Pulaski, Richland and Central Square and was a member of Park United Methodist Church and the New York State Retired Teachers Association.
