Lynn W. Phillips, 92, Tinker Tavern Road, died Monday at St. Luke's Nursing Home, Oswego.
Mr. Phillips was owner of Murphy-Phillips Jeep Sales & Service for 17 years, retiring in 1973. He had also had a dairy farm and was formerly employed by Gould Bus Lines, Oswego.
Born Feb. 13, 1907, in Albion, son of David and Lizzie Emmons Phillips, he was a graduate of Pulaski Academy High School. He lived his whole life on the family farm, which has been in his family since 1830.
Mr. Phillips was a member of Dugway United Methodist Church and Albion Grange. He was past master of the state Grange and a past member of the Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central School board.
He married Ella Olin Jan. 30, 1927, in the Altmar Methodist parsonage with the Rev. George Steeman, pastor, officiating. She died May, 1, 1983.
Surviving are a daughter, Doris Murray, Pulaski; a son, Lynn W. Jr., Jamestown; six grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
A daughter, Doris Bristol, died in 1986.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood.
