- Lisle A. Palmer, Ex-Police Chief
Lisle A. Palmer, 76, of 7560 Rome St., retired Village of Pulaski Police Chief, died Monday, October 31, in Rome City Hospital. A private funeral was held Thursday, at Foster-Hax Funeral Home with Rev. Richard A. Clay, Rector of St. James Episcopal Church, officiating.
Surviving are his wife, Edna; a daughter, Mrs. Alfred (Grace) Secor, Rome; four grandchildren; a step-son, Arnold Seyers, Pulaski, and a sister Mrs. Louise Dell, Skaneateles.
Born Sept. 15, 1901, at Amber, son of Ray and Jeannette Amidon Palmer, he attended Amber schools and married the former Edna Greenfield March 17, 1928.
He came to Pulaski in 1925 and served with the New York State Police here until 1927. He worked for the Sealright Corp. of Fulton a number of years. He joined the Pulaski Village Police Department in November, 1955, retiring in 1966 as chief of the
department.
He was a member of St. James Church, the New York State Retired Troopers Association and the Ringgold Fire Department.
