      ROBERT L. HUNTER, 52, STATE EMPLOYEE, DIES

      Watertown Daily Times (NY) - June 1, 1990

      The funeral for Robert L. Hunter, 52, of 4654 Brickyard Falls Road, Manlius, a native of Watertown, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry officiating.

      Mr. Hunter died Monday at home. He had suffered from arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease.

      Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Donations may be made to any United Friends of Homeless Animals.

      He is survived by a son, Brad, Germany; a daughter, Patricia Hunter, Syracuse; a granddaughter, and a brother, Thomas, Pulaski.

      Born Aug. 8, 1937, in Watertown, son of Arnold and Hazel Church Hunter, he was graduated from Pulaski Academy and Central School in 1956 and received a bachelor’s degree in social work from Empire State College in 1978 and certification in labor relations from Cornell University, Ithaca, in 1986.

      A marriage ended in divorce.

      Mr. Hunter had been employed 17 years by the New York Statewide Employee Assistance Program at the State Office Building, Syracuse, where he was the regional field representative there.

      He was also an accredited alcoholism counselor.
