- Dee C. Potter, aged 83, life resident of Pulaski and Orwell, passed away Thursday at the VA Medical Center in Syracuse. Dee was born September 11, 1931 in Mannsville, the son of Royal and Ruth Clark Potter. He graduated from Sandy Creek High School in 1950. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Dee married Viola “Kitty” Hoops in April 1961. He was employed by General Electric in Syracuse for 39 years, retiring in 1988. He was also employed by Schoeller Technical Papers in security for 23 years. Dee was a former member of several bowling leagues and horseshoe leagues in Pulaski for many years. He was an avid hunter and NRA member. Dee will be remembered as a very kind and gentle man.
Surviving are his wife Viola “Kitty”, one son, James R. Potter (Deanna) of Mannsville, two daughters, Jane (Mike) Ferguson of Lubbock, TX and Diane (Terry) Ingraham of Florida, and six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Dee was predeceased by one daughter, Nancy Kates, two sisters, Shirley Smith and Myra Lou Marshall, and one brother, Clarence Potter.
Funeral Services will be held 6 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski. Calling hours will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the funeral.
