Born in Canada, he graduated from Pulaski Academy High School. He retired in 1979 after 20 years as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of St. Leo’s Church, Tully, Orchard Valley Golf Course, LaFayette, and the Knights of Columbus, Syracuse. Survivors: His wife, Margaret V.; two daughters, Bernice Rule of Tully and Verla Rule of Syracuse; a son, Raymond E. of California; a brother, Gregory of Phoenix; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Services: 10 a.m. Friday in St. Leo’s Church, Tully. No calling hours. DeWitt Memorial Funeral Home, Syracuse, has arrangements.
