Ruth I. Shatrau, 84, of 17 Shatrau Drive, Oswego, died Friday. She was born in Watertown and graduated from Pulaski Academy. She and her husband created and operated N.E.T. Inc. in Fulton. She attended adult education classes and was named Mother of the Year by the Valley News in 1990. Her husband, Harry R., died in 1981.
Survivors: Five daughters, Vaughanda Larson of Bethany, W.Va., Helena Rockwood of Lysander, Sharon Poyneer, Linda Scriber and Brenda Furlong, all of Oswego; seven sons, Richard, Robert and Donald, all of Fulton, Melvin, Peter, Timothy and Christopher, all of Oswego; 33 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren. Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Foster Funeral Home. Burial, Mount Adnah Cemetery.
