ROBERT G. SEAMANS RETIRED DAIRY FARMER

Robert Germain Seamans, 84, Woodville and Zephyrhills, Fla., died Feb. 8 at Pasco Community Hospital in Florida.
Mr. Seamans operated a dairy farm in Woodville for more than 40 years. He was a salesman for Robson Seed Co. and also worked for Harbor Builders Supply Inc., Henderson.
Born Feb. 1, 1915, in Altmar, son of Don Clayton and Leah Irene Mattison Seamans, he graduated from Pulaski Academy. He was a seaman and deckhand for three years during the 1930s on Great Lakes ore vessels.
He married Mary Ethel O’Connor on May 30, 1942, in St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, Adams, with the Rev. Walter T. Cleary officiating. The couple lived on North Landing Road for most of their married lives. Mrs. Seamans died May 26, 1991.
Surviving are two daughters, Sheila M. Byrnes, Baldwinsville, and Linda L. Rivers, Fairport; two brothers, Donald, Pulaski, and Guy, Copenhagen, and four grandsons.
A memorial service in Jefferson County will be at a later date. The body was cremated. Arrangements were with Oakley Funeral Home, Zephyrhills.
