Millie L. Scott Tryon, 73, of 301 Ouderkirk Road, Sandy Pond, died Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center, Syracuse.
Mrs. Tryon worked at Evergreen Adult Home, Pulaski, for seven years and also was a homemaker.
Born April 18, 1927, in Albion, a daughter of Arthur and Millie Colvin Scott, she graduated from Pulaski Academy High School.
She married Elvin R. Tryon on Jan. 21, 1947. He died May 12, 1982.
Surviving are eight daughters, Laura Kehoe, Sandy Creek, Margaret Pope, Tampa, Fla., Paula Goss and Sherry Martin, both of Central Square, Sandra Bertges, Orwell, Patricia Mooney, Middlesex, Susan Furney, Watertown, and Rebecca Tryon, Rochester; eight sons, Arthur, Syracuse, Lyle, Liverpool, Elvin, Kenneth and Christopher, all of Sandy Creek, John, Pulaski, Daniel, Fontana, Calif., and Edwin, Mannsville; a sister, Ruth Trumble, Williamstown; three brothers, Henry, Carleton and John Scott, all of Richland; an adopted son and daughter, Harry and Diane Watson, Phoenix; 40 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
A brother, Richard A. Scott, died Nov. 9. A sister, Clara Diaz, died in 1998. Her stepmother, Anna E. Arnold Scott, died Dec. 23.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
