Lillian M. Kemp, 92, formerly of Pulaski, died Wednesday in Fletcher Allen Health Care, Burlington, Vt.
Mrs. Kemp taught for 10 years at Webster High School.
Born Jan. 2, 1909, in Avon, Conn., daughter of F. Earle and Ruth Austin McChesney, she graduated from Pulaski Academy in 1926, and from Cornell University, Ithaca, in 1931.
She married Alfred A. Kemp on June 5, 1937, at the New Milford (Pa.) Baptist Church. He died Oct. 29, 1980. Mrs. Kemp lived in Pulaski for 14 years before moving to Burlington in September.
She was a member of the Pulaski Congregational Church, the Congregational Pilgrim Guild, the Pulaski Civic Club and the Pulaski Historical Club.
Surviving are a son, David S., Richmond, Vt.; a brother, Dr. Hugh McChesney, Pulaski, and two grandchildren.
A brother, William McChesney, died in 2000. Three sisters also died before her, Edith Nichols in 2000, Elsie Brownell in 1972, and Lois McChesney in 1979.
A graveside service will be held in Pulaski Cemetery at a time to be announced.
