She was a daughter of David and Pearl Weatherup Holland. She was a graduate of Pulaski High School, and a 1957 graduate of the Hepburn Hospital School of Nursing in Ogdensburg.
She married Paul Weegar on 9/15/1957 in Lisbon. He died on 1/30/1976.
She was a member of the DeKalb Historical Society, the Old DeKalb Methodist Church and the United Methodist Church Women's Division. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed hobbies of knitting, stamping and making hooked rugs. She was a registered nurse, working private duty, hospitals and nursing homes throughout her career.
She was survived by three sons, William Kypreos (Linda), Paul Weegar, Jr., and Franklin Weegar (Joyce); a brother, Stanley Holland; and three sisters, Elma Marshall, Dorothy Johnson, and June Gabriel; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband; her parents; a sister, Ruth Payne, and three brothers, James, Clyde and David Holland.
