James F. Youngs, 74, Woodbine Avenue, Syracuse, formerly of Pulaski, died Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse.
Mr. Youngs was employed for 17 years at Genuine Parts, Syracuse, retiring in 1996. Previously, he was a truck driver for Stanley Home Products, Syracuse, and New York Central Railroad, and operated a trucking company for several years.
He was a former member of Park United Methodist Church.
Born Nov. 2, 1930, in Pulaski, son of Jacob A. and Maude McGuijan Youngs, he graduated from Pulaski Academy and Central School in 1948.
He married Reta Crowner on Aug. 16, 1968. They lived in Syracuse for the past 37 years. A previous marriage ended in divorce.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, James W., Camden, and Ronald, Anchorage, Alaska; a daughter, Donna Fuller, Perkasie, Pa.; two sisters, Jane Warlock and Patsy Torto, both of Syracuse, and seven grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Natural Bridge.
A calling hour will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to Hospice of Central New York, 7th North St., Liverpool, or to a charity of one's choice.
