      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, December 25, 1929 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mrs. David Rogers Dies In Syracuse Hospital - Mrs. David P. Rogers died at the Crouse-Irving hospital in Syracuse, Thursday, December 19, having been taken there from her home in the Farmer District, the Sunday before, following several weeks of ill health. Helen Burr, was born in this village, February 11, 1874, daughter of the late Elisha and Carrie Jones Burr. She attended school here and graduated from the academy with the class of 1894, and later from the teachers training class. She taught about ten years in the district schools of Richland, Albion and Redfield. On December 18, 1902 she was united in marriage to David P. Rogers. To them one child, Constance Burr Rogers, was born. Mrs. Rogers was a member of the Parish M. E. Church; Pulaski Chapter, No. 159, O. E. S.; Farmer District Home Bureau; Oswego County Board of Junior Extension, and Celia Dewey Seamans Tent, Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War. In all these organizations she was an active worker and had a wide acquaintance and large circle of friends. For more than fifteen years she has been the faithful and capable correspondent of The Democrat and her services will be greatly misses. Mrs. Rogers is survived by her husband and daughter. The funeral was held from the home Sunday afternoon, Rev. John W. Warren pastor of Pulaski M. E. church, officiating. The body was placed in the chapel at Pulaski cemetery until such time as interment can be made in the family plot in Willis cemetery. Neighbors of the deceased acted as bearers, James Farmer, Frank Jones, Milo Jones and A. W. Jones.
