Robert L. Burr, 65, of George Road died Monday at his home after a long illness.
A native of Lyons Falls, Mr. Burr resided most of his life in Mexico. He was a self-employed roofer and previously was employed with the town of Mexico.
Mr. Burr was a member of North Mexico Methodist Church. A Marine Corps veteran of World War II, Mr. Burr was a member of Edick-Hamlin Post 369, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are his wife, the former Isabel Sanderson; four sons, Bruce and Robert K., both of Mexico, Leonard of Sacramento, Calif., and Paul of Central Square; three sisters, Violet Monks of Lyons Falls, Betty Stott of Albany and Phyllis McNett of Lacona; two brothers, Alfred of Cato and Albert Jr. of Penn Yan; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Harter-Olmstead Funeral Home, the Rev. Stephen W. Sigourney officiating. Spring burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 5305 Washington Ave.
