- Lena Belle Hungerford - died June 6, 1881, age 2 years. Daughter of Newton Isaac and Olive S. Stewart Hungerford.
Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, June 9, 1881 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Daysville District - The youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. Newton Hungerford died last Sabbath, aged 2 years and 2 months. She was sick but a few hours, the disease being dropsy of the brain. Little Belle had been nearly, if not quite, blind, and last autumn Mrs. Hungerford took her to New York where her eyes were operated upon by an eminent oculist in that city. From that time she began gradually to gain her sight, and would doubtless have entirely recovered if could she have lived. She was remarkably beautiful, bright and intelligent, possessing a wonderful musical talent. After hearing a tune through but two or three times she would carry the soprano without a mistake, even when accompanied by an alto. Her sweet, angelic ways had won the affection of the whole family. Her funeral was attended at the house on Tuesday afternoon.
